Laureana is an teenager who lives in La Suprema, a town in the Colombian Caribbean erased from the country’s maps, where electricity has not yet arrived. When she finds out that her uncle Anastasio Páez will fight for the world boxing title and the event will be broadcast live on television, she tries to convince Efraín, Páez’s former trainer, to train her to box professionally. The biggest obstacle to her intentions is her grandmother, Pabla, who, with the excuse of wanting to protect her, tries to impose her will.
