Approaching the end of his twenties and his relative youth, a man decides to quit his cushy desk job and ’embrace life’ – only to realize he has no idea what to do with this newfound freedom.
In the captivating opening scene of Free Time, Drew (Burgess) confronts his boss about his dissatisfaction with his role, hoping for a promotion but instead quitting on the spot. Returning to his apartment, which he shares with a clickbait-writing roommate, Drew finds himself uncertain about his next steps. As Drew navigates his newfound free time, he realizes his friends are occupied with their own lives and jobs, leaving him feeling isolated.
His frustration grows as he faces criticism for quitting his stable job, and another setback occurs when his band shifts to country music, sidelining his keyboard skills. Free Time delves into the struggle of making the most out of newfound freedom and the challenges of pursuing unclear dreams.

The festival grounds at Stenen Hoofd open daily at 6:00 PM. Our bar offers an assortment of drinks, including Oedipus, and you can grab a bite at the food trucks. You can also enjoy art installations, a bowling alley, and various games. Beach chairs are available upon opening. On some evenings, we offer live music before the film starts.
