Pluk is looking for volunteers!

Pluk de Nacht can’t exist without volunteers. We are looking for enthusiastic people who want to help make the most fun open-air film festival in the Netherlands possible. We could really use your help, for setup and teardown, and of course during the festival itself.

This year, Pluk de Nacht will once again be held in Utrecht and Amsterdam.

Doing Volunteer Work at Pluk

There are numerous ways to do volunteer work at Pluk de Nacht. You could spend an evening behind the bar, help with the setup and breakdown, or perhaps a coordinating role suits you better. As a volunteer at Pluk de Nacht, you will be given a lot of responsibility and there is room for your own input.

In exchange for your commitment as a volunteer at Pluk, you receive our eternal gratitude, a t-shirt, free tickets, food and drinks. We end with closing drinks, and you receive a volunteer allowance. Take a look to see if there’s a role that suits you, we would love to hear from you.

Allround volunteers wanted

As an allrounder, you’re involved in pretty much everything. You ensure everything is set up, that our visitors can collect their beach chairs (and help them set it up, which can be tricky ?). Additionally, you step in wherever needed, lighting candles, ensuring the grounds stay neat, and you’re a point of contact. A fun job, indispensable for Pluk de Nacht.

Bartender volunteers wanted

We have two bars on the premises, and to ensure that everyone can enjoy a movie with a drink, we are looking for bartenders. We are seeking cheerful individuals who enjoy spending an evening behind the bar. Experience in the hospitality industry is great, but certainly not necessary.

Infrastructure and technology volunteers wanted

Do you have a knack for technology? We are on the hunt for talented builders capable of assisting us in setting up the infrastructure. If you are well-versed in high voltage power, prioritize safety, and thrive in the energetic atmosphere of festivals, then you are exactly who we’re searching for!

Set-up and tear-down crew and Runners wanted

As we set up and dismantle, we need individuals unafraid to dive in and get their hands dirty. Organizing a festival is no small feat. From raising a circus tent to arranging fences and ensuring the entire setup is visually pleasing, there’s plenty to do! If you’re game for this adventure, we’re looking for you!

Volunteer photographers wanted

Do you possess a discerning eye and the knack to encapsulate ambiance through your lens? If so, we want you! We’re on the lookout for talented photographers capable of capturing the spirit of Pluk de Nacht in stunning photo’s.

Volunteer producers wanted

Are you a master of organization, comfortable amidst the hustle and bustle, adept at finding solutions, and unafraid to handle phone calls? Our production team is seeking (executive) producers to support our chief producer in planning and executing the festival.

In the lead-up to the festival, your role will primarily involve computer-based tasks. However, when the setup phase kicks off, you’ll be right in the heart of the action on the festival grounds, implementing production plans and pitching in wherever needed.

Work schedules are flexible in the days leading up to the festival. But when it comes to the setup, the festival itself, and the teardown, we’d love to have you present and involved as much as possible.

Volunteer bar coordinators wanted

Do you thrive behind the bar, skillfully crafting drinks and serving them with a smile? If you have prior experience in the hospitality industry and hold a social hygiene certificate, this opportunity is tailored for you. As the Bar Coordinator, you will lead the bar team, ensure well-stocked inventory, manage orders, and maintain supplier relationships. Your presence during the festival would be greatly appreciated.

Volunteer coordinators wanted

To ensure the smooth coordination of our dedicated volunteers, we are in need of Volunteer Coordinators. We are seeking friendly individuals who enjoy supporting the recruitment and communication efforts with our volunteers. As a Volunteer Coordinator, you will be responsible for welcoming volunteers at the location, ensuring they understand their tasks, and making sure they have a positive experience.

Volunteer Film operators wanted

We are seeking passionate film operators who are eager to showcase films at our festival. As a film operator, your role will involve precisely timing the start, pause, and conclusion of each film. Working closely with the festival team, you will ensure the audience enjoys the best possible cinematic experience. Your primary responsibility will be managing the film screenings. While the film projection setup and technology are already prepared, if you enjoy contributing to these aspects, we are delighted to provide that opportunity as well.

Previous experience as a film operator is a plus, but it is not required. What we value most is your proficiency with computers and your ability to tackle and resolve unexpected issues without hesitation.
