The future. Winter. Space travel has become an everyday reality. On the outskirts of a snow-covered film studio, once home to grand recreations of everything from the Great Sphinx to the Forbidden City, janitor Zha quietly watches over the last remnants of a vanished dream factory. His only companion is a cat that once had its own film career.
When the bankrupt studio owner pays part of Zha’s wages with a VR headset, an entirely new universe opens up. Inside, he meets a mysterious woman who invites him on an unlikely journey to the moon, blurring the line between escape and connection.
As Zha drifts deeper into virtual worlds, the abandoned backlot briefly springs back to life.
A film crew arrives to shoot an alien invasion epic, with one final spectacular scene planned: the real demolition of the studio itself.
