Pluk de Nacht wouldn’t exist without amazing volunteers like you! We’re seeking enthusiastic people to help create the Netherlands’ most magical outdoor film festival. Under the stars at unique locations, we craft unforgettable cinematic experiences together.
Your contribution makes all the difference – from the very first setup day through to the final breakdown. This year, we’re bringing this extraordinary experience to both Utrecht and Amsterdam.

What can you do?
There are numerous ways to do volunteer work at Pluk de Nacht. You could spend an evening behind the bar, help with the setup and breakdown, or perhaps a coordinating role suits you better. As a volunteer at Pluk de Nacht, you will be given a lot of responsibility and there is room for your own input.
In exchange for your commitment as a volunteer at Pluk, you receive our eternal gratitude, a t-shirt, free tickets, food and drinks. We end with closing drinks, and you receive a volunteer allowance. Take a look to see if there’s a role that suits you, we would love to hear from you.
Allround volunteers wanted
As an all-rounder, you’re the heartbeat of the festival. You ensure everything runs smoothly, help visitors with their deck chairs (trickier than it looks!), create ambiance by lighting candles, maintain the venue, and serve as a friendly face for guests. You’re our go-to person who jumps in wherever needed. It’s a sociable and absolutely essential role!

Bartender volunteers wanted
We operate bars at both locations (one in Utrecht, two in Amsterdam) to keep everyone happily refreshed during screenings. We’re seeking friendly, outgoing people who enjoy working behind the bar. Hospitality experience is a bonus, but enthusiasm is what really matters!

Setup & breakdown crew needed
We need people who love hands-on work for our build and breakdown periods. Creating a festival involves serious logistics: erecting a circus tent, installing barriers, and ensuring everything looks spectacular!

Production assistants needed
Are you a natural organizer who thrives under pressure and loves problem-solving? Join our production team as an assistant producer supporting our festival director. You’ll work primarily from your computer during planning phases, then be on-site throughout setup, festival, and breakdown.

Volunteer bar coordinators wanted
Love bar work and have leadership experience? As bar manager, you’ll oversee the bar team, manage inventory, handle orders, and liaise with suppliers. Previous hospitality experience and a food safety certificate are required.

Film projectionists needed
We’re seeking dedicated projectionists to handle film screenings throughout the festival. You’ll manage start times, intermissions, and endings to ensure perfect viewing experiences. While our projection setup is prepared in advance, we welcome those interested in the technical side too! Experience is valuable, but computer skills and problem-solving abilities are most important.
