The programme isn’t online yet, it usually appears 2 to 3 weeks before the festival begins. But if you already know you want to watch a film from a beach chair again this summer, you can buy your ticket now. You pay โฌ1 less and you’ll be first in line later.
How does it work?
With a presale ticket you buy access to a screening before the programme is announced. You don’t pick a film or an evening yet. Right after your purchase you receive a personal presale code in your inbox. Once the programme goes online in July, you use that code to reserve a screening of your choice.
Quick overview:
- Now: you buy a ticket with โฌ1 off
- Right after: you receive your personal presale code
- In July: the programme goes online
- With your code: you’re the first to reserve a spot, before regular sales open
We reserve spots for presale visitors at every screening.
What does it cost?
Amsterdam, open-air screenings
Standard: โฌ10.00 (normally โฌ11.00, including โฌ1.50 VMR)
Students: โฌ6.00 (normally โฌ7.00, including โฌ1.50 VMR)
Utrecht, open-air screenings
Standard: โฌ8.50 (normally โฌ9.50)
Students: โฌ5.00 (normally โฌ6.00)
VMR stands for vermakelijkheidsretributie, a municipal levy that applies in Amsterdam only. It’s already included in the ticket price. City pass holders, volunteers and free ticket winners can reserve as soon as the programme goes online, under the usual conditions.
Multiple tickets? No problem
No problem. For yourself, for friends, or for different evenings. You can buy multiple presale codes and check your remaining balance at any time on this page. Your code stays valid through the final festival weekend.
๐๏ธ The presale runs through Tuesday 22 July.
See you in the dark!
Love from Pluk
